        "content": "<p>Parabola system<\/p>\n<p>In January this year, I purchased a Parabola system complete<br>\nwith decoder and StarNet receiver from Indovision in Kelapa<br>\nGading. I paid the additional Rp 400,000 for the StarNet<br>\nreceiver, based on the guarantee from the Indovision staff that I<br>\nwould have no problems receiving StarTV when using it. This was<br>\ntrue for the first six to seven months, but approximately two to<br>\nthree months ago, StarTV disappeared. On contacting the Kelapa<br>\nGading store, I was told that there was a temporary problem with<br>\nStarTV, and that it would return in a few days. Unfortunately,<br>\nthis has not been the case.<\/p>\n<p>On contacting central customer service, I was told that StarTV<br>\nwould join Indovision in December. They further stated that they<br>\nwere not responsible for StarTV until that time. So what of the<br>\nguarantee from their staff at Kelapa Gading? It seems to have<br>\nbeen simply a sales pitch to get the sale. Now, when it is time<br>\nto meet the commitment to the customer, Indovision doesn't want<br>\nto know about it.<\/p>\n<p>I have been further informed that in mid-December, I can get<br>\nStarTV again with the new digital service. Unfortunately, I have<br>\nto purchase a new decoder (at an as yet unknown price), making my<br>\nold one redundant. So now I have to pay once again for a service<br>\nI was guaranteed before. My numerous contacts with customer<br>\nservice have always resulted in a promise to get back to me with<br>\na resolution. I am still waiting!<\/p>\n<p>When I purchased the system, Indovision also neglected to<br>\nmention that their cable service would soon be available in my<br>\narea. Now my neighbors get the full service (including StarTV)<br>\nwithout the Rp 3 million investment in a parabola system, while I<br>\nam still left without StarTV. Anyone considering the purchase of<br>\nsuch a system should check to see if the cable service is planned<br>\nfor their area.
