        "content": "<p>Papua residents block road<\/p>\n<p>JAYAPURA, Papua: Angry residents blocked the road connecting<br>\nJayapura and Abepura following the Jayapura General Elections<br>\nCommission's decision to exclude their candidates from the<br>\nJayapura mayoral election on June 28.<\/p>\n<p>The residents said they were supporters of Jan Hendrik Hamadi<br>\nand his running mate Bangun Manurung, who were ruled ineligible<br>\nto contest the election by the commission.<\/p>\n<p>The residents blocked the road with burning tires from 7 p.m.<br>\non Wednesday until 1 a.m. on Thursday, preventing anyone from<br>\ntraveling between the two cities.<\/p>\n<p>The road was opened after Jayapura Police chief Adj.
