        "content": "<p>Panin Bank's profits up<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Panin Bank, a publicly-listed private bank,<br>\nannounced on Saturday a 16.15 percent increase in its after-tax<br>\nprofit; to Rp 30.22 billion (US$13.49 million) in the first half<br>\nof this year, as compared with Rp 26.02 billion during the same<br>\nperiod of last year.<\/p>\n<p>According to the bank's financial statement for the January-<br>\nJune period, the company's total assets increased by 8.32 percent<br>\nto Rp 3.55 trillion as of June, from Rp 3.28 trillion as of the<br>\nsame month of last year.<\/p>\n<p>Recently, Panin Bank issued 60.18 million rights shares with a<br>\nface value of Rp 1,000 (44 U.S. cents) each, worth Rp 114<br>\nbillion.
