        "content": "<p>PAN wants Bagir investigated<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: The National Mandate Party (PAN) demanded on Sunday<br>\nthat the Judicial Commission immediately question Supreme Court<br>\nChief Justice Bagir Manan in connection with bribery allegations.<\/p>\n<p>The call was made by M. Nadjib, secretary of the PAN faction<br>\nin the House of Representatives.<\/p>\n<p>Bagir was implicated in the case after the Sept. 29 arrest by<br>\nthe Corruption Eradication Commission of Harini Wijoyo, a former<br>\njudge in Yogyakarta, along with five officials at the Supreme<br>\nCourt on charges of attempting to bribe justices.<\/p>\n<p>Harini is currently a lawyer for former president Soeharto's<br>\nhalf-brother Probosutedjo, who is appealing against his prison<br>\nsentence for corruption.<\/p>\n<p>Nadjib said the bribery case was a bad precedence in law<br>\nenforcement by Bagir's office and should be investigated urgently<br>\nand thoroughly. --Antara<\/p>",
