His comments followed the\nConstitutional Court\u2019s ruling imposing sanctions on political parties\nthat do not meet the 30% minimum female candidate requirement in each\nelectoral district. Viva explained that the court determined the quota\nwould lack enforcement power without penalties. \u2018PAN agrees and will\nadhere to the Constitutional Court\u2019s ruling on the 30% minimum female\ncandidate quota for DPR and DPRD members, with legal sanctions for\nviolating parties,\u2019 he said. \u2018Without sanctions, the 30% rule would be\nmerely decorative, lacking enforceability,\u2019 he added.
