        "content": "<p>PAN legislative candidate goes on trial<\/p>\n<p>KENDARI, Southeast Sulawesi: Kendari district court began hearing<br>\na case on Monday involving alleged school diploma forgery in the<br>\nrun-up to the legislative election here.<\/p>\n<p>During the opening session, prosecutor Harun accused La Ido<br>\nRhonda, a legislative candidate from the National Mandate Party<br>\n(PAN) of using a fake school diploma in his bid to contest the<br>\nupcoming election.<\/p>\n<p>The prosecutor charged the defendant with having violated<br>\nArticle 137 of the Criminal Code, which carries a maximum<br>\nsentence of 18 months in jail and a Rp 6 million fine.<\/p>\n<p>The trial was adjourned until next week to hear submissions<br>\nfrom the defense. -- JP<\/p>",
