Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Chair of the PAN Faction in the Indonesian\nHouse of Representatives (DPR RI), Putri Zulkifli Hasan, has expressed\nappreciation for President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s State Address delivered at\nthe Annual Session of the People\u2019s Consultative Assembly (MPR RI) and\nthe Joint Session of the DPR RI and the Regional Representatives Council\n(DPD RI) for 2026 at the Parliamentary Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, on\nFriday (14\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n
According to Putri, the President\u2019s speech was not merely a report on\ngovernment achievements. More than that, the address provided clear\ndirection for the nation\u2019s journey.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe appreciate President Prabowo\u2019s speech. Its content is honest,\ngrounded, and fosters public optimism ahead of the 81st Anniversary of\nIndonesian Independence,\u201d Putri stated in a written release on Friday\n(14\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n
Putri highlighted the President\u2019s presentation on national economic\nperformance. Economic growth in the first quarter of 2026 was recorded\nat 5.61% and 5.45% for the first half of 2026, the highest in the past\n13 years.<\/p>\n
\u201cAmid global uncertainty, our economy has actually recorded its\nhighest growth in 13 years. This is proof that the foundation built by\nthe government is on the right track,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
Putri also noted the 121 transformative policies implemented by the\ngovernment within 21 months. In her view, this pace of work must be\nmatched by oversight to ensure the results reach the people.<\/p>\n
Appreciation was also conveyed for the achievement of food\nself-sufficiency. Putri assessed that the President\u2019s recognition of\nfarmers, agricultural extension workers, regional governments, and the\nTNI-Polri confirms that this success is the fruit of mutual cooperation\nby all the nation\u2019s people.<\/p>\n
\u201cFood self-sufficiency is the foundation of national sovereignty. The\nPAN Faction will continue to provide oversight to ensure our food\nsecurity remains robust, including in facing the threat of El Ni\u00f1o,\u201d she\nasserted.<\/p>\n
These food achievements, Putri said, were also inseparable from\ncross-ministerial coordination under Coordinating Minister for Food\nZulkifli Hasan, who is also the General Chair of PAN. This ranged from\nstrengthening the Red and White Cooperatives, safeguarding food supply\nand prices, to preparations towards the protein self-sufficiency\ntarget.<\/p>\n
\u201cFor PAN, self-sufficiency is sovereignty, and food sovereignty must\nresult in prosperity for farmers and fishers. That is the principle\nupheld by the Coordinating Minister for Food, who is also PAN\u2019s General\nChair, in carrying out the President\u2019s directives,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n
The PAN politician welcomed the President\u2019s support for ordinary\npeople, including through the construction of Red and White Fishing\nVillages, which is targeted to reach 1,386 villages by the end of\n2026.<\/p>\n
Putri gave a positive note on the President\u2019s honesty in\nacknowledging that not all national issues and campaign promises have\nbeen resolved. This attitude, she said, reflects a government that works\nwith its feet on the ground.<\/p>\n
