President Prabowo Subianto\u2019s State Address at the 2026 Annual Session\nof the People\u2019s Consultative Assembly (MPR) and the Joint Session of the\nHouse of Representatives (DPR) and the Regional Representatives Council\n(DPD) is considered to have further clarified the government\u2019s policy\ndirection in advancing national progress.<\/p>\n
Chair of the PAN faction in the DPR, Putri Zulkifli Hasan, said the\nPresident\u2019s speech was not merely a report on government achievements,\nbut also provided a clear picture of the future direction of\ndevelopment.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe appreciate President Prabowo\u2019s speech. Its content is honest,\ngrounded, and fosters public optimism ahead of the 81st Anniversary of\nIndonesian Independence,\u201d Putri said in a written statement on Friday,\n14 August 2026.<\/p>\n
Putri also highlighted the national economic performance presented by\nPrabowo. Indonesia\u2019s economic growth in the first quarter of 2026 was\nrecorded at 5.61%, while growth in the first half of 2026 reached\n5.45%.<\/p>\n
According to Putri, these achievements show that the economic\nfoundation built by the government is beginning to yield results. She\nassessed that this growth serves as important capital for advancing\nIndonesia in facing global economic challenges.<\/p>\n
\u201cAmid global uncertainty, our economy has actually recorded its\nhighest growth in 13 years. This is proof that the foundation built by\nthe government is on the right track,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n
In addition to economic performance, Putri also highlighted the 121\ntransformative policies that have been decided and implemented by the\ngovernment over 21 months.<\/p>\n
The daughter of Zulhas assessed that the acceleration of these\npolicies must be accompanied by oversight so that their impact is truly\nfelt by the public.<\/p>\n
The PAN politician, who also serves as Deputy Chair of Commission XII\nof the DPR, also appreciated the government\u2019s achievements in realising\nfood self-sufficiency. The appreciation conveyed by the President to\nfarmers, extension workers, regional governments, and the TNI-Polri was\nseen as demonstrating that this success is the result of collective\neffort.<\/p>\n
\u201cFood self-sufficiency is the foundation of national sovereignty. The\nPAN faction will continue to oversee efforts to ensure our food security\nremains robust, including in facing the threat of El Ni\u00f1o,\u201d she\nasserted.<\/p>\n
According to Putri, these achievements were also supported by\ncross-ministerial coordination under the Coordinating Ministry for Food,\nled by Zulkifli Hasan. A number of measures taken include strengthening\nthe Red and White Cooperatives, maintaining food availability and price\nstability, and preparing protein self-sufficiency targets.<\/p>\n
