        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - PT PAM Jaya is simplifying the registration\nprocess for residents to become customers of the clean water service\nmanaged by the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government\u2019s regional-owned\nenterprise, as an effort to realise the 100% service coverage\ntarget.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPAM Jaya is ready to take proactive steps to assist residents who\nwish to register as customers,\u201d said the South and Central Regional\nManager of PAM Jaya during a Citizens\u2019 Dialogue event held by the\nJakarta Citizens\u2019 Community (Komwaja) together with PAM Jaya in Jakarta\non Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>He stated that PAM Jaya is providing various facilitations for\nprospective customers to register as new subscribers to the drinking\nwater company.<\/p>\n<p>He detailed that residents only need to prepare their ID card and\nFamily Card (KK) matching their domicile so that the supplied water can\nbe targeted appropriately.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, if there are residents who have difficulty preparing\ntheir ID or KK, his side will provide accompaniment assistance at the\nsub-district office,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>PAM Jaya also offers online registration services by filling out and\nuploading the provided form on the official PAM Jaya website, which will\nthen be verified and surveyed by officers.<\/p>\n<p>He added that his side also provides very affordable tariffs. Even\nfor residents with buildings under 70 square metres, the water cost will\nbe waived.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, for buildings under 100 square metres for\nlower-middle-class residents, the tariff is set at Rp1 per litre.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd for buildings over 100 square metres, the tariff is Rp35 per\nlitre. We consider this tariff very affordable for residents,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Wibi Andrino,\nstated that access to clean water for residents is a basic need that\nmust be fulfilled in Jakarta as a global city.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe role of the legislature will oversee policies that favour the\npeople, one of which is access to clean water,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, community figure Amirullah hopes that the clean water\nissue for Jakarta residents can be resolved soon with PAM Jaya\u2019s 100%\ncoverage achievement.<\/p>\n<p>Especially given the polluted water conditions in Jakarta and the\nthreat of land subsidence in Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Jakarta activist Dedy Jaya Saputra welcomes PAM Jaya\u2019s\nsteps targeting 100% clean water service coverage in Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>He reminded PAM Jaya to also increase its water supply capacity, so\nthat the water delivered to residents can run smoothly.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCurrently, the capacity owned is only 30,000 litres\/second.
