        "content": "<p>Palmoil prices stagnant<\/p>\n<p>KUALA LUMPUR (Reuter): Palmoil prices in Malaysia are expected<br>\nto track a tight range this week, hemmed in by uncertainty about<br>\nthe immediate price direction, dealers said.<\/p>\n<p>They said the anticipated absence of key palmoil buyers India<br>\nand Pakistan is acting as a price dampener but underlying<br>\nsentiment is steady due to lower-than-expected stock data from<br>\nthe Palm Oil Registration and Licensing Authority (PORLA).<\/p>\n<p>\"We are doubtful of active palmoil buying from the Chinese in<br>\nnear-term after last week's news of a glut in China,\" one trader<br>\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>Last week, China's State Statistical Bureau said the country<br>\nhas a glut of edible oils due to a record domestic harvest and<br>\nhigh imports.<\/p>\n<p>\"We have been noticing a slowdown in Chinese buying recently.<br>\nWith this glut news we are quite sure future demand from China<br>\nwill be slow,\" the Malaysian trader said.<\/p>",
