        "content": "<p>JAKARTA - Deputy Agriculture Minister Sudaryono, also known as Mas\nDar, has identified 139 palm oil mills that have reduced the purchase\nprice of Fresh Fruit Bunches (TBS).<\/p>\n<p>TBS prices reportedly plummeted after the government announced the\nestablishment of PT Danantara Sumberdaya Indonesia (DSI) as the sole\npalm oil exporter.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We have identified 139 PKS facilities across Indonesia that have\nlowered their TBS purchase prices,\u2019 Mas Dar said during a meeting at the\nMinistry of Agriculture in Jakarta on Tuesday, 26 May 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Mas Dar stated that his office has met with several palm oil farmer\nand business associations to discuss the price decline.<\/p>\n<p>The issue arose as many industry players were uncertain about DSI\u2019s\nroles and authority.<\/p>\n<p>Following these explanations, Mas Dar hopes mills will resume\npurchasing TBS at agreed regional benchmark prices.<\/p>\n<p>He expressed hope that the government would not need to take legal or\nadministrative action against the mills.<\/p>\n<p>\u2018We always act in good faith; not everyone has malicious intent,\u2019 Mas\nDar said.<\/p>\n<p>However, he warned that intentional harmful actions causing farmer\nlosses would be addressed, including administrative sanctions.<\/p>\n<p>Apkasindo Chairman Gulat Manurung noted TBS price drops vary by\nregion.<\/p>\n<p>The average TBS price for independent farmers should be Rp3,600 per\nkilogram and contract farmers Rp4,000, but current prices have fallen to\nRp1,800-2,200 and Rp3,600 respectively.<\/p>\n<p>The Production Cost Price (HPP) for TBS is Rp2,000 per kilogram.<\/p>",
