However, with the influx of serviced apartments in Jakarta one
\nwonders whether there is room for more? This is an oft repeated
\nquestion, observed Belgium born Guido Gyde, and promptly
\nclarified the three distinct advantages.<\/p>\n
\"Firstly, the location simply couldn't be more convenient. It
\nis adjacent to Sahid Jaya Hotel & Tower and faces both Jalan

The Twin Towers, Melati & Mawar, consist of 188 apartments.
\nThere are 60 serviced apartments professionally managed by the
\nSahid Jaya Hotel, and 128 two and three bedroom strata title
\napartments, ranging between 146 square meters to 182 square
\nmeters. In addition there are four luxurious penthouses covering
\nan area of approximately 500 square meters.<\/p>\n
The apartments were designed by Hong Kong based British
\ndesigner Dale Keller, who gave top priority to total comfort,

\nconveniently equipped with stove, microwave oven, refrigerator. A

\ntowels and linen are also included. Each apartment has its own
\nvideophone and private parking space.<\/p>\n
Special features<\/p>\n
Exacty Sryantoro meticulously recorded the special features of
\nthe Sahid apartments. She said \"The decor is pleasant, with a
\nfeeling of space, having open water elements. Coconut shells have
\nbeen artistically utilized for the interior, combined with a
\nsoft, practical and modern Indonesian design. Balinese art form
\nwith a difference has been introduced, with a blend of East and
\nWest.\"<\/p>\n
The restaurants at the complex include Nishikiya, serving
\nJapanese cuisine, and Grya Utami serving Chinese specialities.
\nMel's Diner is being introduced for the first time in Indonesia
\nand will provide American home style cooking, from breakfast to
\ndinner, with speciality desserts from the various American
\nstates. Home delivery from these restaurants will also be
\navailable.<\/p>\n
Star Mart, a mini supermarket with a video rental shop, photo
\nshop, bakery and laundrette is another of the conveniences.<\/p>\n
The Fitness Center by Weider is also the first of its kind in
\nIndonesia. A unique feature is the cardio-theater, a measurement
\nof fitness, whereby the range of exercise is tailored to users'
\nneeds.<\/p>\n
Another first is a Turkish Spa providing aromatic herbal
\ntherapy. Exacty mentioned that membership to outsiders would be
\npossible.<\/p>\n
The apartments range from US$4,200 to $5,600 per month, with a
\nminimum rental period of six months. There are several options
\nopen, and the rental would vary accordingly.<\/p>\n
Out of the 128 strata title apartments, there are only 14 left
\nfor prospective owners, as the other 114 units have been sold.
\nThus inviting Gyde's apt comment on marketability - \"Hurry,
\nhurry - otherwise its too late.\"<\/p>\n
Exacty Sriyantoro also remarked, justifiably with pride, \"we
\nhave achieved three things as developers: the construction has
\nbeen on schedule and delivered on time; marketing targets have
\nbeen reached with a 60 percent increase in value since it was
\nlaunched in March 1993; and we have paid special attention to
\nenvironmental needs, the gardening water is recycled and the
\nsuper block is surrounded by greenery.<\/p>\n
