        "content": "<p>Karachi (ANTARA) - Pakistani Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and his\nBahraini counterpart Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani discussed the\nlatest developments in the Middle East following the recent escalation\nbetween the US and Iran, which has further strained a fragile ceasefire.\nPakistan\u2019s Foreign Ministry said Dar and Al Zayani held a telephone\nconversation on Sunday regarding the latest Middle East developments\nafter the signing of a framework agreement mediated by Pakistan between\nthe US and Iran. The talks came after Iran\u2019s latest attacks on several\nUS military facilities located in Bahrain and Kuwait. Bahrain said on\nSunday it had \u2018successfully\u2019 intercepted and destroyed a number of\nIranian missile and drone attacks on its territory. A day earlier,\nIran\u2019s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it had targeted US\npositions in the region in response to US strikes on Iran. Al Zayani\nalso congratulated Pakistan on the signing of the US-Iran framework\nagreement, known as the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding. He\npraised Islamabad\u2019s \u2018constructive\u2019 role in facilitating the deal and\nexpressed hope that it would contribute to lasting peace and stability\nin the region.
