Residents in Jakarta's Senayan area have complained about a padel court on Jalan Limo causing excessive noise until late night, despite Governor Pramono Anung's directive limiting such facilities to 8 p.m. in residential areas. The facility lacks an Operational Eligibility Certificate (SLF) as it did not obtain neighbour consent, a requirement for such certification, and local authorities have mandated the operator obtain the SLF within 30 days along with a noise level analysis report.

JAKARTA — Residents have complained about a padel court located on
Jalan Limo, Senayan, Kebayoran Baru, South Jakarta.

The padel court, situated directly behind a residential compound, is
considered disruptive because of noise extending until midnight.

“Usually it’s shouting and the sound of hitting the ball. From 10
p.m., it goes tok-tok tok-tok with people shouting,” explained V, a
resident of the compound near the padel court when contacted on Tuesday
(10 March 2026).

V is aware that the padel court does not possess an Operational
Eligibility Certificate (SLF).

“Because my neighbours and I never gave our approval. One requirement
for an SLF is a signature from neighbours,” said V.

“If it’s 5,000 square metres like this and they don’t request
neighbour permission with the noise they’re producing, then I object,” V
added.

According to V, the operator has not complied with Jakarta Governor
Pramono Anung’s directive regarding regulations for padel courts in
residential areas, which limits operations to 8 p.m.

For this reason, V is urging authorities to be stricter in enforcing
the regulation through supervision and sanctions.

“The hope is that the legal process is respected and officials can be
firm in taking action. If there is no SLF, they cannot operate,” said
V.

Separately, Indarini Ekaningtyas, Head of the Investment Management
and Integrated Single-Window Service Unit (UP PM-PTSP) of South Jakarta
Administrative City, stated that the padel court has obtained Building
Permit approval (PBG), but does not have an SLF.

“PBG exists. According to the single-window service database, the
building’s SLF was not found,” Ekaningtyas told Kompas.com on Tuesday
(10 March 2026).

Additionally, the operator must also have a noise level analysis
report.

“Every building or padel court must have an SLF before operating and
must submit a noise level analysis in the technical assessment report,”
according to a letter signed by Jakarta’s Spatial Planning Head, Vera
Revina Sari.

Under the new regulation, the operator must obtain the SLF within 30
days of receiving the letter.

Kompas.com requested a response from the padel court operator
regarding residents’ complaints through a supervisor named Adnan.
However, until this article was published, no response had been
received.
",
