        "content": "<p>A truck containing evidence related to the criminal offence of\nillegal mobile phone imports was seized in Sidoarjo, East Java. This is\na development of the case previously uncovered in Jakarta.<\/p>\n<p>The Director of Special Economic Crimes (Dirtipideksus) of Bareskrim\nPolri, Brigadier General of Police Ade Safri Simanjuntak, stated that\ninvestigators had conducted a search at a shophouse owned by PT TSL in\nSidoarjo, East Java.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is a development from the case in Jakarta, where two\nindividuals have been designated as suspects, namely DCP alias P and\nSJ,\u201d he said, quoted on Wednesday, 22 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the evidence seized from the location consisted of\none expedition truck full of logistics packages. However, the contents\nof the packages in the truck are still being investigated for the\npurposes of the probe.<\/p>\n<p>According to him, PT TSL is the parent company that operates several\nshell companies to carry out illegal mobile phone imports through the\nair cargo route at Juanda International Airport.<\/p>\n<p>Ade emphasised that investigators do not rule out the possibility of\nadditional suspects in the case.<\/p>\n<p>Previously, in the case uncovered in Jakarta, Bareskrim had conducted\nsearches at six locations consisting of warehouses, shophouses, and\noffices used as storage sites for illegal imported goods.<\/p>\n<p>From those searches, investigators seized 56,557 iPhone units worth\napproximately Rp225.2 billion, 1,625 Android phone units worth Rp5.38\nbillion, and 18,574 mobile phone accessories with a total value reaching\nRp235.08 billion.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, investigators also found other products such as baby\nclothes and children\u2019s toys that do not meet the mandatory Indonesian\nNational Standard (SNI), but have been traded domestically, including\nthrough e-commerce platforms.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe development of the case in Sidoarjo is still ongoing, and we\nwill provide updates later,\u201d said Ade.<\/p>",
