Outline of PNI Marhaenisme's platform:<\/p>\n
During 32 years of the New Order's rule all methods were
\nundertaken to conduct de-Sukarnoisasi (a dismantling of all
\nthings related to Sukarno), which led to fertile soil for the
\ngrowth of neo-capitalism. Our nation lost its dignity and has
\nbeen easily dictated to by foreign countries. Our earlier self
\nreliant nation became dependent and indebted to foreign nations.
\nA state which should have protected its citizens turned out to be
\nan oppressor, violating the law and human rights, eventually
\nleading to a multi-dimensional crisis.<\/p>\n
With this background we, the Marhaen, came to unite in this
\nparty with the following mission which includes:<\/p>\n
o To strive for freedom of religion and the safe practice of
\nbeliefs, without disturbance from any party;
\no To organize and provide political education for all;
\no To empower the people to realize a government that is clean and
\na society that is democratic without violence nor discrimination;
\no To strive for the annulment of all laws and rules which violate
\nthe people's consciousness, human rights and Indonesian culture;
\no To struggle along with the people in eradicating collusion,
\ncorruption and nepotism and demand that all perpetrators of
\neconomic and political crimes, and crimes against humanity, be
\npunished according to the law;
\no To strengthen the people's economic rights and access to
\nnational economic resources;
\no To strive for land reform, and for land distribution to farmers
\nwithout land;
\no To strive for the improved welfare of soldiers, civil servants
\nand educators.
\no To strive for the improved education, protection and welfare of
\nworkers, peasants and fishermen and their families.<\/p>",
