Every worker has the right to social security protection, including\nguaranteed coverage and swift medical treatment in the event of a\nsuspected workplace accident or occupational disease. To this end, BPJS\nKetenagakerjaan and BPJS Kesehatan are collaborating to accelerate the\nprovision of healthcare services for workers.<\/p>\n
The Chief Executive of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, Saiful Hidayat,\nemphasised that collaboration between BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and BPJS\nKesehatan represents a strategic step in strengthening comprehensive\nworker protection across Indonesia.<\/p>\n
According to him, the integration of these service systems not only\naccelerates the claims process, but also ensures workers receive\nhealthcare services quickly, accurately, and without administrative\nobstacles.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis collaboration aligns with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan\u2019s 3C strategy,\nnamely expanding Coverage, strengthening Care, and increasing\nCredibility in employment social security services. Through inter-agency\nsynergies and system integration, we want to ensure more workers are\nprotected, receive fast and quality services when facing occupational\nrisks, whilst also building public confidence in the national social\nsecurity system,\u201d stated Saiful following a meeting with Chief Executive\nof BPJS Kesehatan, Prihati Pujowaskito on Saturday (14 March).<\/p>\n
Saiful emphasised that strengthening system interoperability with\nBPJS Kesehatan is a crucial component of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan\u2019s service\ntransformation, particularly in handling suspected workplace accidents\nand occupational diseases. With an integrated system, the process of\nverifying participants, guaranteeing services, and monitoring case\nhandling can be conducted more quickly, accurately, and\ntransparently.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe ultimate goal is to ensure every worker who experiences a\nsuspected workplace accident or occupational disease receives swift\nmedical treatment without having to navigate complicated administrative\nprocesses. Worker protection must be present in reality when they need\nit,\u201d Saiful added.<\/p>\n
Through Government Regulation Number 49 of 2023, the government has\nstrengthened the mechanism for handling suspected workplace accidents\nand occupational diseases, assigning BPJS Ketenagakerjaan the role of\nprimary guarantor in managing such cases.<\/p>\n
Chief Executive of BPJS Kesehatan Prihati Pujowaskito explained that\nintegration between BPJS Kesehatan\u2019s systems and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan\u2019s\nsystems has been completed, allowing the service guarantee process to\nrun more reliably and transparently.<\/p>\n
\u201cSystem interoperability between BPJS Kesehatan and BPJS\nKetenagakerjaan has recently been implemented, enabling every worker\nsuspected of experiencing workplace accidents (KK) or occupational\ndiseases (PAK) to receive faster treatment,\u201d clarified Pujo.<\/p>\n
Pujo explained that healthcare facilities can now obtain clarity on\nhandling procedures for suspected KK\/PAK cases through BPJS\nKetenagakerjaan\u2019s e-PLKK application, which is integrated with BPJS\nKesehatan\u2019s system. This system synchronisation is expected to increase\nguarantee accuracy, as all participant information is digitally\nverified.<\/p>\n
According to Pujo, it cannot be denied that some workers and\nhealthcare facilities remain confused when handling suspected KK\/PAK\ncases in the field. With the use of the e-PLKK application by healthcare\nfacilities, workers with suspected KK\/PAK can now receive medical\nservices immediately, without waiting for lengthy administrative\nprocesses.<\/p>\n
In addition to discussing plans to update the Memorandum of\nUnderstanding on KK\/PAK, the meeting also covered data synchronisation\nplans between institutions and plans to improve compliance among social\nsecurity participants by involving the Directorate General of Taxes\nthrough collaborative measures going forward.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe regularly evaluate and refine this system integration.
