Operators provide busway feeders<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: Three bus operators have agreed to become official
\nfeeders for the busway operating from Blok M in South Jakarta to
\nKota in West Jakarta.<\/p>\n
TransJakarta busway management spokesman Anjar Aedi said on
\nWednesday that the three operators were state-owned PPD, Mayasari
\nBakti and Steady Safe.<\/p>\n
\"Passengers can now use feeder service tickets ... The bus
\noperators will warn crews who reject the tickets,\" he said,
\nadding that the agreement had been reached in a meeting between
\nthe busway management, the City Transportation Agency and the bus
\noperators.<\/p>\n
Although the busway established an integrated ticketing system
\nwith feeder buses earlier this year, bus crews have been
\nreluctant to accept feeder service tickets, preferring cash from
\npassengers.<\/p>\n
Anjar announced that the number of busway passengers had
\nincreased by some 400 per day since the transportation agency
\nscrapped 12 city bus routes along the corridor last week. -- JP<\/p>",
