        "content": "<p>Operator, traders agreed on UI<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: Tanah Abang textile market vendors and city-run<br>\nmarket operator PD Pasar Jaya agreed on Monday to appoint the<br>\nUniversity of Indonesia (UI) technology research institute to get<br>\na second opinion on the strength of the market construction.<\/p>\n<p>The decision was made in a fourth meeting between the two<br>\nparties following strong opposition from vendors to the city<br>\nadministration's plan to demolish the market.<\/p>\n<p>The demolition was planned after the Bandung Institute of<br>\nTechnology (ITB) issued a report that stated that the structure<br>\nof the market's Block B, C, D and E could only last for two<br>\nyears.<\/p>\n<p>PD Pasar Jaya president director Prabowo Soenirman anticipates<br>\nthat the result of the UI study will be announced on Nov. 24,<br>\nfour days before traders business permits expire. -- JP<\/p>",
