        "content": "<p>The arrival of pure electric vehicles (battery electric\nvehicles\/BEVs) is being felt by various groups, including online taxi\ndrivers.<\/p>\n<p>An online taxi driver using a pure electric vehicle, Kholid\nSyaifulloh (51), believes that switching from conventional cars to an\nelectrified fleet provides very significant savings in operational costs\nfor daily income.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo I\u2019ve experienced switching cars over three generations of taxi\nsedans. Roughly, the daily operational costs now are only 35 percent of\na petrol car,\u201d said Kholid.<\/p>\n<p>Kholid, who has 15 years of experience driving internal combustion\nengine (ICE) vehicles, claims to be more at ease facing risks of fuel\nprice volatility or shortages.<\/p>\n<p>Although it requires charging time, the cost efficiency achieved far\noutweighs the operational burden of the Pertalite-fuelled vehicle he\nused previously.<\/p>\n<p>With a daily mileage of 350 km from Bekasi to the heart of the\nCapital, Kholid applies an effective charging time strategy with total\ncosts not reaching Rp100,000.<\/p>\n<p>The use of fast charging features available at various strategic\npoints helps him maintain maximum daily productivity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUsing this EV is very beneficial because the operational costs are\nstable. With proper time management during charging, I can still pick up\npassengers optimally without being burdened by expensive petrol costs,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>",
