One more Acehnese child dies<\/p>\n

Desy Chaerani, a one-and-a-half-year-old infant, who was
\nevacuated from Aceh, died at the Harapan Kita hospital in West
\nJakarta from acute respiratory problems on Wednesday, as more
\npeople arrive for treatment at hospitals here.<\/p>\n
Dr. Eva J. Sulaiman, a pediatrician at the hospital, said that
\ntwo Acehnese children have died after being admitted to the
\nhospital since Sunday.<\/p>\n
\"Eighteen-month-old Rachmat Suhada died of dehydration last
\nSunday. We are still taking care of several others,\" Eva told The
\nJakarta Post.<\/p>\n
More than a dozen babies, children and adults arrived in
\nJakarta for medical treatment last Sunday. Harapan Kita Hospital
\ntreated seven patients -- one baby, five children and one adult.<\/p>\n
Five more Achenese were admitted on Wednesday to the hospital
\nincluding one child, Oriza Salsabila, 2, who is in a critical
\ncondition.<\/p>\n
Other hospitals, including MMC and Pondok Indah Hospitals in
\nSouth Jakarta, and the Jakarta Islamic Hospital in East Jakarta,
\nare also treating Acehnese children and babies for free.<\/p>\n
\"We are still taking care of nine patients from Aceh,
\nincluding several children and babies. They are all in a stable
\ncondition. The hospital will not charge them,\" Yunus, an
\nadministration staff at the Jakarta Islamic hospital told the
\nPost.<\/p>\n
He said the hospital was expecting more people from Aceh to be
\ntreated there on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
Lili Hasanuddin of the Coalition of Non-Governmental
\nOrganization for Tsunami Victims said that they were still
\nnegotiating with Lion Air to fly tsunami victims from Aceh to
\nJakarta.<\/p>\n
\"Actually, many more victims need medical treatment but we are
\nhaving difficulties transporting them to Jakarta,\" Lili told the
\nPost.<\/p>\n
Lili explained that all babies and children brought to Jakarta
\nwere accompanied by at least one family member.<\/p>",
