SOUTH TANGERANG, KOMPAS.com \u2014 Residents are complaining about the\nlack of concrete handling from the government following a landslide on\nJalan Salak, Pondok Benda, Pamulang, South Tangerang, in early April\n2026.<\/p>\n
To date, the slope from the landslide remains vulnerable, especially\nduring rain, forcing residents to carry out emergency measures\nindependently.<\/p>\n
One affected resident, Budi (not his real name), said the slope\ncondition is still at risk of further landslides due to the absence of\npermanent repairs since the incident.<\/p>\n
He mentioned that after the landslide, residents only cleared the\nsoil materials on their own initiative. Even the emergency handling was\ndone by installing bamboo as a soil retainer.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe rest is just this soil that we\u2019ve put bamboo on to hold the\nsoil,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The landslide occurred on Saturday (4\/4\/2026) around 14:00 WIB when\nheavy rain hit the area. Budi suspects the landslide was triggered by\nwater flow from the upper part of the slope, which lacks adequate\ndrainage.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe water from above is a lot, no drainage. So it flows down heavily\nlike a waterfall, making the soil unstable and then it slides,\u201d he\nsaid.<\/p>\n
The landslide materials temporarily covered part of the area around\nresidents\u2019 houses at the bottom. However, the cleaning was done\nindependently by residents without initial assistance from relevant\nparties.<\/p>\n
He mentioned that village officials came on the day of the incident,\nfollowed by officials from relevant agencies the next day. Nevertheless,\nto date, there has been no follow-up in the form of permanent\nrepairs.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe village came that day too. As for BPBD or the agency, the next\nday. But they just looked around,\u201d said Budi.<\/p>\n
\u201cSince the landslide, the wall (support) is destroyed and there are\nholes and water coming out from the soil,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
According to him, the condition needs to be addressed immediately,\nespecially by building drainage channels to control water flow.<\/p>\n
He hopes the government will soon repair the landslide site while\nbuilding drainage so that water does not directly seep into the soil and\nweaken the cliff structure.<\/p>\n
\u201cHopefully there\u2019s drainage up there, so the water doesn\u2019t all come\nhere,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
