One killed in N. Jakarta clash<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): A group of around 30 people, six of whom were
\narmed with sharp weapons, killed a man and badly injured another
\nin an apparently unmotivated attack in North Jakarta.<\/p>\n
Mohamad Kadri, 22, suffered a fatal wound in his neck and was
\nstabbed more than 10 other times elsewhere in his body.<\/p>\n
Hidayat, who was stabbed in his left hand, said he and his
\nfour friends had no idea why they were attacked by the gang led
\nby Engkos Kasmuri from a neighboring subdistrict.<\/p>\n
He said that the five of them, all of whom are residents of
\nBendungan Melayu subdistrict in Koja, were on their way to a
\nfriend's house when the attackers stopped them in the Kebon
\nBawang neighborhood at around 4 p.m. Monday.<\/p>\n
\"Without a single explanation, the group suddenly attacked
\nus,\" he told reporters at the Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital
\nwhere his friend's body was kept.<\/p>\n
Hidayat's three other friends, all of whom are servicemen,
\nwere able to flee.<\/p>\n
Hidayat is a crew member of a ship and Kadri a cleaner at the
\nTanjung Priok seaport.<\/p>\n
\"I've filed a report at the North Jakarta Police Precinct to
\nsue Engkos and his accomplices,\" said Hidayat. (04)<\/p>",
