One dies due to hospital negligence<\/p>\n
TANGERANG: A 24-year-old woman who attempted suicide late on
\nWednesday at her house in Jatiuwung district of Tangerang
\nmunicipality, died one day later after her family was turned away
\nby several hospitals.<\/p>\n
The woman, who tried to hang herself, was found by her three-
\nyear-old daughter who came to ask for water at about 11:30 p.m.<\/p>\n
The child's screams woke her father, who later, helped by
\nneighbors, lowered his wife who was still breathing.<\/p>\n
They rushed the woman to the nearest medical clinic. But,
\nclaiming they had incomplete medical equipment, the clinic moved
\nthe woman to Tangerang General Hospital.<\/p>\n
The hospital later transferred the woman to Honoris Hospital
\nat Modern Land housing complex. However, as he did not have the
\nrequired Rp 5 million (US$588) deposit, the husband took his wife
\nback to Tangerang General Hospital where she died late on
\nThursday.<\/p>\n
The woman's father, a retired army officer, said his daughter
