In response to questions about when the Revision of\nthe General Elections Law (RUU Pemilu) will be discussed, Speaker of the\nIndonesian House of Representatives Puan Maharani said that\ncommunication between political parties is still ongoing.<\/p>\n<p>Puan stated that coordination has been carried out since several\nprevious sessions.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom previous sessions regarding the RUU Pemilu, all parties have\nalready held talks as I mentioned, informally or formally with the\ngeneral chairmen, with all colleagues to discuss the matter,\u201d said Puan\nat the Parliamentary Complex in Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday\n(12\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo whatever it is, we desire that the upcoming elections can be\nconducted fairly, without harming the people, and beneficial to the\nnation and state,\u201d she added.<\/p>\n<p>For her, the interests of the people remain the top priority in every\npolitical decision-making process in parliament.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is indeed the time when it\u2019s approaching, that\u2019s correct.\nHowever, what is best for the people is what we prioritise most.
