        "content": "<p>On the 'Asian Way'<\/p>\n<p>In your paper's Jan. 20 edition I came across an article which <br>\nwas titled: Singapore gives help to Acehnese in 'Asian way'.\" I <br>\nimmediately started reading it because I was really curious about <br>\nthe \"Asian way\" of alleviating human misery.<\/p>\n<p>Well, this appeared to boil down to the following: \"Despite <br>\nthe humid and sunny weather of the coastal area, none of the <br>\nsoldiers wear sunglasses (...) as they find it rude and un-<br>\nAsian.\" Not a single trace of anything else \"the Asian way\" in <br>\nthe rest of the article.<\/p>\n<p>I will throw away my sunglasses so I can spend the rest of my <br>\nlife doing things \"the Asian Way\".<\/p>\n<p>FRANS HUNEKER<br>\n Ubud, Bali<\/p>",
