In the middle of the holy month, the imsak\nschedule serves as an important guide to ensure the fasting observance\nremains timely and orderly. Each district, including West Jakarta, has\nan imsak schedule and prayer times to guide timely fasting.<\/p>\n<p>Here is the imsak schedule and prayer times for West Jakarta on 15\nRamadan 1447 AH, Thursday 5 March 2026.<\/p>\n<p>The government, through the Ministry of Religious Affairs, set the\nstart of fasting for 1 Ramadan 1447 AH as Thursday, 19 February 2026.\nThe decision was made after the Isbat session held at the Ministry of\nReligious Affairs\u2019 office in Jakarta on Tuesday afternoon, 17 February\n2026, chaired by the Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar. The\ndetermination was made because the hilal was not sighted on Tuesday, in\nline with the forecast of the Kemenag Hisab Rukyat Team, which stated\nthe hilal position did not meet the visibility criteria of MABIMS. This\ndifference does not diminish the validity of worship, and all Muslims\nare urged to show mutual respect. The Isbat session involved various\nIslamic organisations, falak experts, and astronomical institutions, and\nwas conducted using a method that integrates hisab (astronomical\ncalculation) and rukyatul hilal to maintain uniformity while respecting\ndifferences in methods developing within the community.<\/p>",
