        "content": "<p>President of the Confederation of All Indonesian Workers\u2019 Unions\n(KSPSI) Andi Gani Nena Wea has committed to maintaining organisational\nsolidarity in fighting for workers\u2019 rights across the country. He\nexpressed appreciation for all members who have remained on the\nfrontline of the struggle.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI extend my thanks for the militancy and loyalty of all our\ncomrades. We have stood for 53 years and must remain spirited in\nmaintaining our solidarity and unity,\u201d Andi Gani said during a\nthanksgiving ceremony marking KSPSI\u2019s 53rd anniversary at the KSPSI\nTraining Centre in Jatiluhur, Purwakarta, West Java, on Saturday\n(21\/2\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Andi Gani assured that KSPSI would continue to adopt a critical yet\ndialogic approach towards the government. He emphasised that closeness\nwith the president, the police, and ministers does not diminish the\norganisation\u2019s commitment to voicing workers\u2019 aspirations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe will remain critical. Close to the president, close to the\npolice, close to ministers, but we prioritise dialogue,\u201d he\nstressed.<\/p>\n<p>Andi Gani also announced the cooperative asset achievements under\nKSPSI\u2019s umbrella. He stated that the total cooperative assets of\nIndonesia\u2019s largest labour confederation amount to approximately Rp 1.9\ntrillion.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have total cooperative assets \u2014 I calculated last night \u2014 of Rp\n1.9 trillion. So as a trade union, our cooperative assets, which we have\naccumulated, will be read out by the Chairman of the Advisory Board,\u201d\nAndi Gani said.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that this achievement demonstrates KSPSI\u2019s economic strength\nas one of the largest labour organisations in Indonesia and indeed in\nthe Southeast Asian region.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe possess extraordinary cooperative asset strength. This proves\nthat the organisation is not only strong in terms of its movement but\nalso economically,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>As part of the 53rd anniversary celebrations, KSPSI will also hold a\nnumber of events across various regions, including in West Java and\nSurabaya, East Java. Andi Gani expressed hope that the 53rd anniversary\nmomentum would further strengthen KSPSI\u2019s position as the vanguard in\nfighting for workers\u2019 welfare.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRest assured, KSPSI will remain on the same frontline fighting for\nthe rights of Indonesian workers,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The thanksgiving ceremony was attended by approximately 1,550 workers\nfrom various regions including Purwakarta, Jakarta, Bekasi, Tangerang,\nand Bandung. The event also featured religious songs performed by Opick\nand concluded with a communal breaking of the fast.<\/p>\n<p>Also present at the event were National Police Chief General Listyo\nSigit Prabowo, who also serves as Chairman of KSPSI\u2019s Advisory Board,\nand Minister of Manpower Yassierli. Senior officials from National\nPolice Headquarters were also in attendance, including Criminal\nInvestigation Agency Head Commissioner General Syahardiantono,\nAnti-Corruption Criminal Investigation Coordinator Inspector General\nCahyono Wibowo, Medical and Health Centre Head Inspector General Asep\nHendradiana, Human Resources Development Bureau Head Brigadier General\nLanggeng Purnomo, and Specific Crimes Directorate Head Brigadier General\nMoh Irhamni.<\/p>\n<p>Also present were Director General of Industrial Relations and Social\nSecurity for Workers at the Ministry of Manpower Indah Anggoro Putri,\nKSBSI President Elly Rosita Silaban, West Java Regional Police Chief\nInspector General Rudi Setiawan, and Purwakarta Regent Saepul Bahri\nBinzein.<\/p>",
