Omni Batavia's first anniversary<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Omni Batavia hotel on Jl. Kalibesar Barat, in
\nWest Jakarta, celebrated its first anniversary by offering free
\ncircumcisions for children from poor families and orphanages.<\/p>\n
Mita Wullur, public relations manager of the hotel, said that
\nas many as 70 children from nearby neighborhoods and from
\norphanages in Pluit subdistrict, North Jakarta, and Kwitang
\nsubdistrict, Central Jakarta, got free circumcisions<\/p>\n
\"It's difficult to find as many as 100 children from
\nneighboring areas. Many families have moved to other parts of the
\ncapital,\" said Tadjudin Widodo, chief of the Roa Malaka
\nsubdistrict where the Omni Batavia hotel is located.<\/p>\n
The circumcision was carried out by seven doctors from the
\nSchool of Medicine of the University of Indonesia.<\/p>\n
Mita also said that the four-star Omni Batavia, with 288
\nrooms, has an occupancy rate of 45 percent to 50 percent.<\/p>\n
\"Traffic jams are the biggest drawback to us in the
\nmanagement in trying to attract guests to the hotel,\" Mita said.
