        "content": "<p>Ometraco's profit up 23.8%<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): Ometraco Corporation announced yesterday that<br>\nits net profit increased by 23.85 percent to Rp 24.4 billion<br>\n(US$10.8 million) in the first semester of this year from Rp 19.7<br>\nbillion in the same period of last year.<\/p>\n<p>Ometraco, a holding company focusing on consumer products,<br>\ninfrastructure and financial services, said in a statement here<br>\nthat its financial service revenues surged to Rp 36.3 billion in<br>\nthe January-June period from Rp 7.2 billion in the same period of<br>\n1994.<\/p>\n<p>Its profit from the non-financial service division increased<br>\nby 14 percent to Rp 42 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Ometraco Corporation is 60 percent owned by the Santosa<br>\nfamily, with a strategic holding of 9.8 percent by Morgan Stanley<br>\nCapital Partners of the United States.(31)<\/p>",
