        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ombudsman of the Republic of Indonesia (ORI)\nhas requested support from Commission II of the House of Representatives\n(DPR RI) to help push for the prompt realisation of the proposed budget\nfor the Oversight of National Priority Programmes, such as Free\nNutritious Meals, the Red and White Cooperative, and Free Health\nExaminations.<\/p>\n<p>In a Hearing Meeting (RDP) with Commission II of the DPR RI in\nJakarta on Tuesday (31\/3), ORI Chairman Mokhammad Najih stated that the\nproposal has already been incorporated into the Programme for Oversight\nof Public Service Delivery for National Priorities.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have already submitted the proposal to the State Secretariat,\nconsidering that the release of the block must have the President\u2019s\napproval. Through this meeting, we also request support from Commission\nII,\u201d said Najih, as confirmed in Jakarta on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the ORI\u2019s work programme is prepared with detailed\ntargets: 725 public complaints or reports resolved by the ORI, 7,100\ncomplaints or reports resolved by ORI representatives, and 17\nSelf-Initiated Investigation Reports (IAPS) conducted on public service\nproviders.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, 34 thematic and selective Self-Initiated Investigation\nReports (IAPS) specifically for the President\u2019s priority programmes,\noversight opinions on public service delivery for 85\nministries\/institutions, and oversight opinions on public service\ndelivery for 552 local governments.<\/p>\n<p>Najih revealed that the budget realisation achieved by the ORI\namounts to Rp251.98 billion, or 20.62 percent. From that amount, up to\n27 March 2026, the ORI has handled 6,374 public reports and resolved\n1,567 reports.<\/p>\n<p>The Ombudsman also implements a programme to prevent\nmaladministration by monitoring the flow of people during the Eid\nal-Fitr holiday exodus and return.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Deputy Chairman of Commission II of the DPR RI, Zulfikar\nArse Sadikin, expressed his appreciation to the Ombudsman for achieving\nan Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the Financial Audit Board (BPK) in\n2024 and the budget absorption in the first quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>He called for the optimisation of performance targets in subsequent\nquarters, oriented towards public interests, national development, and\npublic welfare.<\/p>",
