        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has\nrequested PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk to immediately resolve\nthe case affecting customers at the BNI Aek Nabara Auxiliary Branch\nOffice (KCP) in North Sumatra.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOJK has summoned the board of directors and management of BNI to\nrequest explanations and to emphasise that resolution steps be taken\nquickly, comprehensively, transparently, and responsibly,\u201d said Agus\nFirmansyah, Head of the Surveillance and Integrated Financial Services\nSector Policy Department at OJK.<\/p>\n<p>In a written statement in Jakarta on Saturday, Agus explained that in\nthe ongoing handling process, BNI, through coordination with law\nenforcement agencies and related institutions, has taken steps to secure\nassets suspected to be related to the case.<\/p>\n<p>These steps are part of efforts to safeguard customer interests and\nsupport an accountable resolution process in accordance with applicable\nlaws and regulations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOJK will continue to monitor the verification and resolution process\nfor the remaining funds in question to ensure it proceeds transparently,\nfairly, and in accordance with applicable provisions,\u201d Agus stated.<\/p>\n<p>OJK has also requested that BNI conduct a comprehensive internal\ninvestigation, including in-depth examination of compliance aspects,\ninternal controls, and governance.<\/p>\n<p>Such steps are necessary to ensure that the root problems are\nproperly identified and corrective actions can be promptly implemented\nto prevent similar incidents from recurring in the future.<\/p>",
