The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has pledged full support for the national priority programme to build three million houses, particularly by enhancing policies related to the Financial Information Service System (SLIK) to aid micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs). Key measures include displaying only credits above Rp1 million in SLIK reports, accelerating loan repayment status updates to within three working days, and granting BP Tapera access to SLIK data to expedite housing financing. These initiatives, alongside forming a task force with relevant stakeholders, aim to overcome financial sector obstacles and promote affordable housing for low-income communities, underscoring OJK's commitment to government development goals.

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Financial Services Authority (OJK)
fully supports efforts to accelerate the national priority development
programme in the growth of micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs).
One manifestation is the provision of three million houses through
policies on the Financial Information Service System (SLIK), alongside
synergies with ministries/institutions and related stakeholders.

In a meeting with the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas of the
Republic of Indonesia, Maruarar Sirait, the Chairman of the OJK Board of
Commissioners, Friderica Widyasari Dewi, stated that OJK strongly
supports the three million houses housing development priority
programme.

Additionally, OJK has held a Board of Commissioners Meeting last week
and decided on several policy steps to support the implementation of the
programme.

The first policy is that OJK has decided that the information to be
displayed in SLIK reports is credit or financing with a nominal value
above Rp1 million, whether based on the ceiling or the outstanding debit
for each debtor.

“In yesterday’s Board of Commissioners Meeting, we decided that in
the SLIK report, the information to be displayed is credit with a
nominal value above Rp1 million, whether based on the accumulation of
the debtor’s credit records or its outstanding debit,” said Friderica in
her official statement on Monday (13/4/2026).

Meanwhile, the second policy, OJK has also decided to accelerate the
update of loan repayment status in SLIK to a maximum of three working
days after repayment is made. This policy is expected to help accelerate
the housing financing application process.

“When someone has repaid their loan, within a maximum of three days,
the repayment status will appear in SLIK, which will be implemented no
later than the end of June 2026. This is important to help developer
partners accelerate the housing financing process,” explained the woman
who is familiarly called Kiki.

In addition, to support the acceleration of the housing programme,
OJK is also providing access to BP Tapera to SLIK data in accordance
with applicable provisions. This step is expected to support the
acceleration of the housing financing facility provision process, which
is BP Tapera’s task.

Furthermore, OJK through the Executive Head of Insurance, Guarantee,
and Pension Fund Supervision will issue a confirmation regarding the
recognition of subsidised Home Ownership Credit (KPR) as a government
priority programme. This confirmation is deemed important because it has
implications for the guarantee aspect in housing financing.

OJK together with the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas will
also form a Task Force for Accelerating the 3 Million Houses Programme.
This task force will involve OJK, the Ministry of Housing and Settlement
Areas, BP Tapera, developer associations, and other related stakeholders
to strengthen coordination and accelerate the resolution of various
housing programme obstacles related to the financial services
sector.

Not only that, OJK will add a confirmation of information in SLIK
that the data in SLIK does not automatically determine the acceptance or
rejection of credit or financing provision by financial services
business actors. SLIK is a record of information used as one of the
considerations in the credit or financing analysis process.

Previously, OJK has also carried out various efforts to support the
government’s programme in providing houses for Low-Income Communities
(MBR), including through OJK Letter No. S-2/D.03/2025 dated 14 January
2025 regarding Support for the Government’s Programme in Providing
Houses to Low-Income Communities and Improving SLIK Reporting
Quality.

Through that letter, OJK emphasised that SLIK contains neutral
information and is not a blacklist. OJK also emphasised that there are
no provisions prohibiting the provision of credit or financing to
debtors who have credit with qualities other than current, including if
combined with other credit or financing facilities, especially for
small-value credit or financing.

In addition, the decision to grant KPR to MBR remains the authority
of each bank by considering prudence principles and risk mitigation. OJK
also continues to urge banks to improve SLIK data quality, including
periodic data updates.

“OJK will continue to support and encourage various steps that can be
taken to accelerate the achievement of the three million houses
programme. This is one form of our support,” she concluded.
",
