Jakarta (ANTARA) \u2013 The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has secured\nthe international ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System certification\nfor its supervision of the insurance, guarantee and pension fund sectors\n(PPDP).<\/p>\n
The achievement underscores OJK\u2019s commitment to continually improving\nthe quality of supervision, licensing and regulation in the PPDP sectors\nthrough the consistent, measurable and sustainable application of\ninternational quality standards.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis ISO 9001:2015 certification demonstrates OJK\u2019s commitment to\nensuring that supervision of the PPDP sectors complies with\ninternational quality standards. Through independent assessment, we aim\nto ensure that supervision is objective, uses appropriate methodologies\nand is continually improved,\u201d OJK Chief Executive for Insurance,\nGuarantee and Pension Fund Supervision Ogi Prastomiyono said in a\nstatement in Jakarta on Friday.<\/p>\n
The ISO 9001:2015 certification was issued by independent\ncertification body SGS United Kingdom Ltd (SGS).<\/p>\n
Ogi explained that the certification is not merely recognition of the\napplication of quality management standards, but also brings a\nresponsibility to maintain consistency in working processes and undergo\nperiodic assessments by an independent certification body.<\/p>\n
Through the certification process, OJK has opened its implementation\nof the quality management system in PPDP supervision to independent\nassessment.<\/p>\n
The assessment is an important part of identifying areas for\nimprovement and ensuring the standards are applied effectively and\nsustainably.<\/p>\n
The ISO 9001:2015 certification awarded to OJK\u2019s PPDP Supervision\nDivision covers the quality management system for supervision, licensing\nand regulation services in the PPDP sectors.<\/p>\n
The standard emphasises a process-based approach, risk management,\nperformance evaluation and continuous quality improvement.<\/p>\n
Its application is expected to strengthen the consistency and\neffectiveness of work processes, improve accountability in carrying out\nduties, and support objective supervisory decisions based on measurable\nmethodologies.<\/p>\n
OJK will continue to maintain consistent implementation of the ISO\n9001:2015 quality management system as part of efforts to strengthen\ngovernance and institutional capacity.<\/p>\n
