The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has revoked the business\nlicence of PT Bank Perekonomian Rakyat (BPR) Pasarraya Kuta. The\nrevocation of the BPR, located at Jalan Raya Tuban Number 62, Tuban\nVillage, Kuta District, Badung, was carried out in accordance with the\nDecision of the OJK Board of Commissioners Member Number\nKEP-71\/D.0CO\/2026, dated 17 September 2026.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe revocation of the business licence of PT BPR Pasarraya Kuta is\npart of the supervisory actions taken by the OJK to continuously\nstrengthen the banking industry and maintain public trust,\u201d said the\nHead of OJK Bali, Parjiman, in a press release cited on Sunday\n(20\/9\/2026).<\/p>\n
Parjiman stated that the OJK had previously placed PT BPR Pasarraya\nKuta under \u2018BPR in Recovery\u2019 (BDP) status on 4 September 2025. This\nstatus was assigned because PT BPR Pasarraya Kuta maintained a Minimum\nCapital Adequacy Ratio (KPMM) of less than 12%.<\/p>\n
PT BPR Pasarraya Kuta subsequently followed up on the OJK\u2019s BDP\nstatus designation by preparing a recovery plan. However, in its\nimplementation, PT BPR Pasarraya Kuta was unable to fully realise this\nplan. Consequently, during the BDP period, the efforts of PT BPR\nPasarraya Kuta failed to yield significant results in addressing the\nbank\u2019s capital and liquidity problems.<\/p>\n
Subsequently, the OJK placed PT BPR Pasarraya Kuta under \u2018BPR in\nResolution\u2019 (BDR) status on 2 September 2026. This decision was made\nconsidering that the OJK had provided a timeframe for the management and\nshareholders to undertake recovery efforts, specifically to address\ncapital and liquidity issues.<\/p>\n
PT BPR Pasarraya Kuta\u2019s BDR status was established in accordance with\nFinancial Services Authority Regulation (POJK) Number 28 of 2023\nregarding the Determination of Status and Follow-up Supervision of Rural\nBanks and Sharia Rural Banks. However, the management and shareholders\nof PT BPR Pasarraya Kuta were unable to execute the bank\u2019s recovery.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, the Indonesia Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS)\ndetermined the method for handling the bank in resolution by proceeding\nwith liquidation and requesting the OJK to revoke the business licence\nof PT BPR Pasarraya Kuta. This determination was based on the Decision\nof the LPS Board of Commissioners Member Number 125\/ADK3\/2026 regarding\nthe Method of Handling Banks in Resolution for PT BPR Pasarraya Kuta,\ndated 10 September 2026.<\/p>\n
The OJK then proceeded with the revocation of the business licence\n(CIU) for PT BPR Pasarraya Kuta. Parjiman emphasised that the revocation\nwas carried out following the request from the LPS and in consideration\nof the provisions in Article 19 of POJK Number 28 of 2023.<\/p>\n
According to Parjiman, with the revocation of the business licence,\nthe LPS will carry out its guarantee functions and conduct the\nliquidation process. These efforts are being undertaken in accordance\nwith Law (UU) Number 24 of 2004 concerning the LPS, as amended by Law\nNumber 4 of 2026 regarding the Amendment to Law Number 4 of 2023 on the\nDevelopment and Strengthening of the Financial Sector.<\/p>\n
