        "content": "<p>In an effort to strengthen the deepening of Indonesia\u2019s financial\nmarkets, the Financial Services Authority (OJK) has issued two strategic\nroadmaps for the 2026\u20132030 period. This guidance is also intended to\nenhance investor protection and encourage sustainable financing and\ninvestment to support Indonesia\u2019s economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>The roadmaps cover the Development of Derivative Markets Based on\nUnderlying Instruments and the Indonesian Sustainable Capital Market.\nThis policy forms part of OJK\u2019s efforts to build a more inclusive,\nefficient, and competitive financial services sector while supporting\nthe achievement of national development targets, including Indonesia\u2019s\nnet zero emissions goal by 2060 or earlier, as well as the mandate of\nLaw No.\u00a04 of 2023 on the Development and Strengthening of the Financial\nSector (UU P2SK).<\/p>\n<p>The derivative market roadmap aims to create a market that is more\nliquid, efficient, credible, and of high integrity. The derivative\nmarket is expected to play an important role as an instrument in risk\nmanagement as well as financial market deepening.<\/p>\n<p>This development will be supported by four main pillars, including\nstrengthening investor protection, harmonisation and supervision of\nintermediaries, market development, and infrastructure efficiency. All\nthese pillars will be implemented gradually with support for regulatory\nstrengthening, supervision, and market education.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAll these pillars will be implemented with enabler support,\nincluding cross-stakeholder coordination, strengthening of regulations\nand licensing, improved supervision and reporting, as well as\nsocialisation and education carried out gradually in the short, medium,\nand long term,\u201d said the Head of the Surveillance and Integrated\nFinancial Services Sector Policy Department of OJK, Agus Firmansyah, in\na written statement quoted on Tuesday, 14 April 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the sustainable capital market roadmap is intended by OJK\nto strengthen the capital market\u2019s role as a driver of funding based on\nenvironmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles. This effort is\ncarried out through strengthening regulatory foundations, increasing\nmarket activities, encouraging investor participation, and\ncross-stakeholder collaboration.<\/p>\n<p>The sustainable capital market roadmap is also structured based on\nfour main pillars as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><p>Pillar I: Strengthening the foundation of the sustainable capital\nmarket, through the formulation of basic policies and regulations for\nthe sustainable capital market.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Pillar II: Fostering sustainable capital market activities, with\nefforts to accelerate growth and diversification of sustainable capital\nmarket products and activities.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Pillar III: Encouraging participation in the sustainable capital\nmarket, through the provision of supporting tools and appropriate\nincentives to increase market players\u2019 confidence to participate\nactively in the sustainable capital market.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Pillar IV: Strengthening collaboration for the development of the\nsustainable capital market, through coordination and cooperation both\ndomestically and internationally to support the development and growth\nof the sustainable capital market in Indonesia on an ongoing\nbasis.<\/p><\/li>\n<\/ul>",
