        "content": "<p>The movement of foreign fund flows in the Indonesian capital market\nmust be viewed within a global context and does not solely reflect the\nfundamentals of the Indonesian capital market.<\/p>\n<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Hasan Fawzi, Chief Executive of Capital Market,\nDerivative Finance and Carbon Exchange Supervision at the Financial\nServices Authority (OJK), stated that the movement of foreign flows in\nthe Indonesian capital market is part of global financial market\ndynamics influenced by various factors.<\/p>\n<p>He cited these factors as including geopolitical risk, the direction\nof global interest rate policy, and investor preferences for assets in\nemerging markets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTherefore, foreign fund flows need to be viewed in a global context\nand do not solely reflect the fundamentals of the Indonesian capital\nmarket,\u201d Hasan said in a written response at the July 2026 Monthly Board\nof Commissioners Meeting (RDKB) press conference in Jakarta on\nWednesday.<\/p>\n<p>Although cumulatively since the beginning of the year foreign\ninvestors have still recorded a net sell of Rp95.06 trillion in the\ndomestic stock market, Hasan observed that developments in recent\nperiods show increasingly stable market conditions, with foreign selling\npressure beginning to ease.<\/p>\n<p>Going forward, Hasan affirmed that OJK, together with the\nself-regulatory organisations (SROs), will continue to strengthen the\ncompetitiveness of the Indonesian capital market through the\nimplementation of ongoing reforms, including improved transparency,\ndisclosure quality, strengthened governance, and market integrity.<\/p>\n<p>The policy measures to be implemented by OJK include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><p>Strengthening transparency and the quality of share ownership\ndata to support the determination of free float and improve the market\u2019s\ninvestability.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Refining the HSC assessment methodology and the effectiveness of\nsupervision over trading activity and ownership concentration risk\nthrough data-driven analysis.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Improving various capital market provisions to enhance liquidity,\nefficiency, and market deepening.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Strengthening engagement with global institutional investors and\nglobal index providers to communicate developments in Indonesian capital\nmarket reforms in a timely and transparent manner.<\/p><\/li>\n<li><p>Encouraging improved quality of listed companies through\nstrengthened governance, information disclosure, and investor\nprotection.<\/p><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>\u201cThese reform initiatives are expected to enhance the investability\nof the Indonesian capital market and further strengthen investor\nconfidence, thereby attracting higher-quality and more sustainable\ninvestment from both domestic and global investors,\u201d Hasan said.<\/p>",
