Speaking at the Digital Banking Forum 2026, he\nhighlighted that this push aligns with Indonesia\u2019s significant potential\nin developing the digital economy, which the financial sector, including\nbanking, must capitalise on. Currently, 75.6% of Indonesia\u2019s population,\npredominantly millennials and Gen Z, are proficient in using technology,\nwith 29.1% utilising online banking services. The OJK noted several\ndrivers for the development of digital banking services, including\ndigital service transformation, innovations that boost e-commerce\ntransactions, and strengthened collaboration between banks, fintech\nfirms, and startups. This transformation aims not only to enhance\nefficiency but also to create personalised, responsive services that\nreach a broader customer base.
