        "content": "<p>The Financial Services Authority (OJK) has announced the large-scale\nmerger of eight Rural Banks (BPR) in Serang, Banten. The OJK has granted\napproval for the amalgamation of PT BPR Lambang Ganda, PT BPR Tutur\nGanda, PT BPR Sungkunandhana, PT BPR Persada Ganda, PT BPR Ihuthan\nGanda, PT BPR Sapadhana, PT BPR Padat Ganda, and PT BPR Ulintha Ganda\ninto PT BPR Pusaka Dana.<\/p>\n<p>The merger approval was established through Decision of the OJK Board\nof Commissioners Number KEP-48\/D.03\/2026 dated 1 July 2026 concerning\nthe Granting of Merger Approval for the eight BPRs into PT BPR Pusaka\nDana. With the issuance of this decision, the business licences of the\neight merging BPRs are declared void, and all assets, liabilities,\nrights, and business activities of each BPR are transferred to PT BPR\nPusaka Dana as the surviving bank, domiciled at Jalan Dewi Sartika\nNumber 40B, Ciputat District, South Tangerang City, Banten Province.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the OJK also approved the change in status of all office\nnetworks of the merging BPRs to become office networks of the merged PT\nBPR Pusaka Dana. Head of OJK Banten Province, Adi Dharma, stated that\nthis corporate action is an implementation of OJK Regulation Number 7 of\n2024 concerning Rural Banks and Sharia Rural Banks, as well as a\nstrategic step in strengthening the resilience of the BPR industry\nthrough institutional consolidation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe merger of eight BPRs into PT BPR Pusaka Dana is a tangible form\nof strengthening the BPR industry structure, which is expected to\nincrease capital capacity, expand service networks, improve operational\nefficiency, and strengthen the competitiveness of the merged bank in\nproviding quality services to the public and business actors, especially\nthe micro, small, and medium enterprise sector,\u201d Adi said in a statement\non Thursday (9\/7\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>Adi added that the success of the consolidation process is not only\nmeasured by the completion of the administrative aspects of the merger,\nbut also by the ability of the merged bank to integrate good corporate\ngovernance, strengthen the implementation of risk management, improve\nthe quality of human resources, and maintain customer trust through\nprofessional and sustainable services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe OJK will continue to supervise so that the post-merger\nintegration process runs effectively, so that the consolidation\nobjective of creating a healthier, stronger, more efficient, and more\ncompetitive BPR can be achieved optimally,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>This merger is part of the implementation of the BPR-BPRS Development\nand Strengthening Roadmap 2024-2027, which places institutional\nconsolidation as one of the main strategies in building a BPR industry\nthat is more resilient, adaptive, and capable of supporting sustainable\nnational economic growth. Through this merger, PT BPR Pusaka Dana will\nhave a wider operational network with offices spread across Banten, West\nJava, Central Java, and East Java, thereby expected to increase service\nreach to the public and strengthen the contribution of BPRs in promoting\nfinancial inclusion across various regions.<\/p>",
