        "content": "<p>The Financial Services Authority (OJK) is tightening supervision of\nthe financial sector by blocking 33,252 bank accounts suspected of being\nlinked to online gambling (judol) activities up to March 2026. This firm\nstep is part of efforts to protect the integrity of the national\nfinancial system and curb the adverse impacts of online gambling on the\npublic\u2019s economy.<\/p>\n<p>The Head of OJK\u2019s Banking Supervision Executive, Dian Ediana Rae,\nexplained that this blocking is a measure to eradicate online gambling,\nwhich has broad effects on the economy and financial sector.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOJK has requested banks to conduct EDD or block 33,252 accounts\nsuspected of online gambling,\u201d said Dian during the March 2026 Monthly\nCommissioners\u2019 Meeting Press Conference in Jakarta on Monday\n(4\/4\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>In addition, OJK revoked the licences of six Rural Banks (BPR) from\nJanuary to March 2026. The BPRs whose licences were revoked include PT\nBPR Koperindo Jaya in Central Jakarta and PT BPR Pembangunan Nagari in\nAgam Regency, West Sumatra.<\/p>\n<p>Dian emphasised OJK\u2019s coordination with the Deposit Insurance\nCorporation (LPS) in handling issues related to Rural Banks\n(BPR)\/Islamic Rural Banks (BPRS) in accordance with Law No.\u00a04 of 2023 on\nthe Development and Strengthening of the Financial Sector (P2SK Law).\n\u201cTo consistently uphold the integrity of the financial system, OJK\nrequires support from the Financial System Stability Coordination Forum\n(KSSK), the government, the House of Representatives, law enforcement,\nand other relevant parties,\u201d she stated.<\/p>\n<p>OJK recorded banking credit disbursement growth of 9.37% year-on-year\n(yoy) to Rp8,559 trillion in February 2026. Investment credit recorded\nthe highest growth at 20.72% (yoy).<\/p>\n<p>On the other hand, Third-Party Funds (DPK) grew 13.18% (yoy) to\nRp10,102 trillion, with details of current accounts at 18.56%, deposits\nat 13%, and savings at 8.12% (yoy).<\/p>\n<p>Banking industry liquidity remains adequate, reflected in the AL\/NCD\nand AL\/DPK ratios of 121.29% and 27.4%, respectively, far above the 50%\nand 10% thresholds. This indicates that banking stability remains\nmaintained despite tightened supervision.<\/p>",
