The Ramadan Safari is being carried out in four districts as an\neffort to strengthen social communication, foster togetherness, and\ncreate a harmonious atmosphere in the community during Ramadan, said\nAlimuddin, Deputy for Social, Cultural, and Community Empowerment of the\nIKN Authority (OIKN), in Nusantara, on Saturday.<\/p>\n
The four districts that form the delineation of the IKN were\npreviously part of the Kutai Kartanegara Regency, namely Samboja, Muara\nJawa, Loa Janan, and Samboja Barat.<\/p>\n
During the event, Ramadan Safari was used as an opportunity to engage\ndirectly with the community to discuss their various hopes after their\nareas were delineated into the IKN region.<\/p>\n
In Muara Jawa, the dialogue, conducted in a relaxed manner, became a\nforum for residents to express aspirations, while also obtaining\ninformation on the current development of the IKN and future plans.<\/p>\n
Most residents expressed hopes for improved welfare and progress in\nthe region after joining the IKN area, particularly regarding the\nenhancement of basic services.<\/p>\n
For example, the need for access to clean water for an area inhabited\nby around 40,000 people, even though it is not far from the Mahakam\nRiver, said Alimuddin, who is also the former head of the Penajam Paser\nUtara Regency Education Department.<\/p>\n
In addition, residents also hope for the establishment of a\nuniversity in their area; there is currently an effort to provide land\nto support such educational facilities.<\/p>\n
Other aspirations include the expectation of a toll gate in Muara\nJawa to improve connectivity and facilitate mobility for residents who\nwant to reach the IKN, Balikpapan, and Samarinda.<\/p>\n
Camat Muara Jawa Muhammad Ramli also expressed appreciation. He\nregards the activity as a silaturahim space that strengthens the\nrelationship between government and the community.<\/p>\n
