The Basic Competency Test (SKD) for the 2026 intake of official\nschools (Sekolah Kedinasan) will commence on 22 September 2026. Ahead of\nthe examination, the government has established the mandatory passing\ngrades that participants must achieve to proceed to the subsequent\nstages of the selection process.<\/p>\n
According to the Decree of the Minister of Administrative and\nBureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Number 406 of 2026, the passing grade for\nthe National Insight Test (TWK) is set at 65, the General Intelligence\nTest (TIU) at 80, and the Personal Characteristics Test (TKP) at\n156.<\/p>\n
In total, the maximum cumulative score for the SKD reaches 550\npoints, comprising a maximum of 150 points for TWK, 175 points for TIU,\nand 225 points for TKP.<\/p>\n
However, these passing grade requirements do not apply to\nparticipants from specific regions who receive affirmative action.\nAffirmative policies are granted based on proposals from the ministries\nor agencies organising the official schools.<\/p>\n
During the SKD, participants will complete a total of 110 questions\nwithin 100 minutes. The breakdown consists of 30 TWK questions, 35 TIU\nquestions, and 45 TKP questions.<\/p>\n
For the TWK and TIU sections, each correct answer earns 5 points,\nwhile incorrect or unanswered questions receive 0 points. For the TKP,\nthe score for each answer choice ranges from 1 to 5, with 0 points\nawarded for unanswered questions. The registration phase for the 2026\nofficial schools closed at the end of August.<\/p>\n
The Minister of PANRB, Rini Widyantini, has reminded all participants\nto prepare thoroughly and cautioned against believing parties that\npromise guaranteed passing in exchange for money.<\/p>\n
This year\u2019s SKD will continue to utilise the Computer Assisted Test\n(CAT) system managed by the National Civil Service Agency (BKN).<\/p>\n
\u201cThere will be no loopholes for those attempting to cheat,\u201d Rini\nstated firmly in her announcement, as quoted on Sunday (20\/09\/2026).<\/p>\n
Rini emphasised that all participants must undergo the selection\nprocess honestly and rely on their own abilities. She noted that the\nexamination material is designed to measure knowledge, thinking skills,\ncharacter, and the participants\u2019 understanding of national values.<\/p>\n
Through these test results, the government can assess participants\u2019\nabilities in aspects such as nationalism, analysis, syllogism,\nadaptability, and understanding of anti-radicalism.<\/p>\n
\u201cBe professional, ethical participants who are ready to provide the\nbest service to the public,\u201d Rini added.<\/p>\n
The government is providing 4,770 civil servant (CPNS) positions\nthrough the official school pathway this year. These formations are\noffered by nine agencies overseeing the official schools.<\/p>\n
Following the SKD, each agency will announce the selection results\nbetween September and October 2026. Subsequent selection stages will be\nregulated by the respective organisers of the official schools.<\/p>\n
