        "content": "<p>Jakarta - The Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) has set\nPLN electricity tariffs for the July-September 2026 period with no\nincrease. The policy was taken to maintain national economic stability\namidst ever-changing global conditions.<\/p>\n<p>Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Bahlil Lahadalia explained\nthat the decision represents the government\u2019s commitment to safeguarding\npublic purchasing power. Additionally, the move is expected to support\nindustrial competitiveness and provide certainty for business\nactors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo maintain public purchasing power and support national economic\nstability, the government has decided that electricity tariffs for the\nthird quarter of 2026 will remain unchanged or not increase,\u201d Bahlil\nstated in an official release, quoted on Monday (6\/7\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>In accordance with Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources\nRegulation Number 7 of 2024, tariff adjustments for 13 non-subsidised\ncustomer groups are actually conducted every three months based on\nchanges in four macroeconomic parameters: the rupiah exchange rate, the\nIndonesian Crude Price (ICP), inflation, and the Reference Coal Price\n(HBA).<\/p>\n<p>For the third quarter of 2026, the parameters used were realisations\nfrom the February-April 2026 period, which recorded an exchange rate of\nRp16,959.32 per US dollar, an ICP of US$96.12 per barrel, inflation of\n0.21%, and an HBA of US$70 per ton (in accordance with the Domestic\nMarket Obligation\/DMO coal policy).<\/p>\n<p>Although the formula indicated a potential for tariff changes, the\ngovernment decided to maintain electricity tariffs to preserve national\neconomic stability.<\/p>\n<p>Bahlil added that apart from non-subsidised customers, this policy\nalso applies to 24 subsidised customer groups, which are also confirmed\nto experience no tariff changes. These include social customers,\nlow-income households, small businesses, small industries, and Micro,\nSmall, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe government is committed to providing reliable, affordable, and\nequitable electricity.
