        "content": "<p>The Indonesian National Police has officially established a new\nPolresta (City Police Precinct) to oversee the jurisdiction of the\nNusantara Capital City (IKN) in East Kalimantan. The formation is\nstipulated in the Chief of Police\u2019s Telegram Letter Number\nST\/1336\/VI\/KEP.\/2026, dated 25 June 2026. The position of IKN Police\nChief has been entrusted to Adjunct Senior Commissioner Supriyanto, who\npreviously served as Deputy Director of Water and Air Police for the\nEast Kalimantan Regional Police. \u201cA new Polresta has been formed in the\nNusantara Capital City (IKN) area,\u201d stated the Head of the Public\nInformation Bureau of the National Police\u2019s Public Relations Division,\nBrigadier General Trunoyudo Wisnu Andiko, on Friday, 26 June 2026. In\naddition to forming the Polresta in the IKN area, the National Police\nChief also established four new Type D Police Stations in North Padang\nLawas, Central Sumba, Konawe Islands, and Banggai Laut. Furthermore,\neight Type D Police Stations were upgraded to Polresta status, namely in\nKarawang, Batang, Klaten, Tuban, Sumenep, Gowa, Banggai, and Central\nLombok. \u201cThe formation and upgrading of these regional units is a\nstrategic step to strengthen police services to the community, while\nalso aligning organisational needs with regional developments and\nincreasingly dynamic public security and order challenges,\u201d he said. The\nformation of the new Polresta and the status upgrades of several police\nstations are part of a mutation policy affecting 1,121 National Police\npersonnel, as outlined in seven Chief of Police telegram letters. Of\nthat number, 190 personnel received job promotions as part of\norganisational refreshment and institutional strengthening. \u201cThrough\nthese mutations, it is expected that all personnel entrusted with new\npositions can quickly adapt, improve performance, and make the best\ncontribution to the organisation and the community,\u201d he added.<\/p>",
