In the context of the development of the political bills being
\ndeliberated at the House of Representatives (DPR)\/People's
\nConsultative Assembly (MPR), the capability and creativity of
\npolitical parties are being tested by demands for an alternative
\nvision.<\/p>\n
It is inevitable that the new political parties must work hard
\nto gain the people's support to place their representatives in
\nthe DPR and MPR.<\/p>\n
Further observation and study of the number of new political
\nparties has led me to believe that it will be more effective if
\nthose parties establish a coalition in order to form a bigger
\nforce. This is necessary because I have seen that big popular
\npolitical parties do not attract students and women. Now is the
\nchance for new political parties to make progress.<\/p>\n
The majority of the Indonesian population consist of women
\n(50.3 percent). They have been hard hit by the crisis. It is
\nnecessary for the nation's unity that priority be given to women
\nin overcoming the impact of the crisis.<\/p>\n
To this purpose, the Aliansi Perempuan dan Kemitraan Nasional
\nIndonesia, is willing to establish a coalition with other
\npolitical parties to share its mission of working toward a
\ndemocratic, prosperous, just and civilized Indonesia. The
\nintentions are not just to gain mere power, but are supported by
\ncommon sense, clear morals and a sense of duty to the nation.<\/p>\n
