        "content": "<p>Telecommunications observer Heru Sutadi believes that the cooperation\nbetween the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs (Kemkomdigi)\nand Meta in eradicating online gambling can be developed into a national\ncollaboration involving all digital platforms operating in Indonesia.\nAccording to Heru, the challenges in the digital space are currently\nmore complex, requiring broader coordination between the government and\ndigital platform providers. \u201cI think this should become a model for\nnational cooperation. The government should not only cooperate with\nMeta, but also with all digital platforms operating in Indonesia, such\nas TikTok, Google, YouTube, Telegram, X, and instant messaging\nplatforms,\u201d Heru told ANTARA on Sunday. With the direct involvement of\nplatforms, the handling of content and accounts containing online\ngambling is expected to be carried out more quickly before reaching more\nusers. The Executive Director of the Information and Communication\nTechnology (ICT) Institute also assessed that government cooperation\nwith digital platforms should not be limited to eradicating online\ngambling, but expanded to address various forms of crime in the digital\nspace. According to him, there are still many fraud cases utilising\ndigital platforms, ranging from fake seller accounts to various\ncybercrime modes that harm the public. Therefore, Heru proposed the\nformation of a permanent forum or task force that brings together the\ngovernment and various digital platforms periodically to discuss and\nrespond to threats in the digital space, including online gambling. He\nadded that a comprehensive and sustainable coordination mechanism would\nmake the response to various digital threats more coordinated and\neffective. \u201cBecause of that, the response must also be coordinated,\nfast, and cross-platform,\u201d Heru said. Minister of Communication and\nDigital Affairs Meutya Hafid stated, \u201cWe have agreed to form a joint\nteam to address online gambling issues on platforms, especially\nregarding the recent feedback we have received, namely spam in\ncomments.\u201d She stated that Kemkomdigi is not only involving Meta in\nefforts to handle spam comments containing online gambling content.\nGoing forward, the government will also form a joint team involving\nvarious other digital platforms.<\/p>",
