Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang explained this immense potential during his\nsecond working visit to South Korea in seven months. He has scheduled\nstrategic meetings with several local technology giants, including\nSamsung Electronics, SK Hynix, Hyundai Motor, LG, and Naver, to deepen\ncollaboration in the fields of semiconductors and physical AI\ntechnology.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause Korea is the world\u2019s manufacturing hub, we can apply the\nrobotics and physical AI technologies we discover here to industry,\u201d\nHuang stated, as reported by Reuters.<\/p>\n
Huang believes that the integration of artificial intelligence and\nrobotics will be the primary driver of the semiconductor manufacturing\nindustry in the future. Currently, Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are recorded as supplying\napproximately 70% of the memory chip requirements to support Nvidia\u2019s\nartificial intelligence systems. Huang also confirmed that both\ncompanies, alongside Micron, have qualified to supply advanced HBM4\nmemory chips for Nvidia\u2019s latest AI platform, known as Vera Rubin.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese three vendors are currently in the production stage, and they\nare all racing to support Vera Rubin,\u201d he asserted.<\/p>\n
Beyond manufacturing business interests, Nvidia has concretely begun\nrecruiting personnel for its research and development (R&D) centre\nlocated in Seoul.
