Universitas Nusa Mandiri (UNM), as a Digital Business Campus, has\nintroduced the Internship Experience Programme (IEP) 3+1, a programme\nthat connects academic learning with professional experience. Through\nthe IEP, students undergo three years of lectures and one year of\nprofessional internship at partner companies.<\/p>\n
Maruloh, Head of UNM Rawamangun Campus, said that industry experience\nis important for students before entering the professional world.<\/p>\n
\u201cStudents are not enough just to understand theory in the classroom.\nThey also need to know how the world of work operates, solve real\nproblems, and adapt to a professional environment. IEP 3+1 is one of\nUniversitas Nusa Mandiri\u2019s efforts to provide that experience while\nstudents are still pursuing their education,\u201d he said on Tuesday\n(25\/8\/2026).<\/p>\n
According to him, a one-year internship is an opportunity for\nstudents to test and develop the competencies acquired during their\nstudies. The experience also helps students build self-confidence and\nprofessional networks from an early stage.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen students already have work experience before graduating, they\nhave a clearer picture of the professional world. They can also build\nnetworking and develop competencies that match the needs of companies,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>\n
He emphasised that UNM\u2019s IEP 3+1 is supported by more than 300\npartner companies, both national and multinational in scale. Through\nthis network, students have the opportunity to experience the work\nenvironment directly while understanding industry dynamics.<\/p>\n
\u201cInternship experience also provides added value for students, from\nexpanding networks, improving competencies, understanding work culture,\nto recognising career opportunities earlier,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
As a Digital Business Campus, UNM continues to develop education that\nis relevant to industry needs. IEP 3+1 is one form of that commitment by\nbringing together academic competence and professional experience in the\nstudent education process.<\/p>\n
