Nuriana's accountability report under fire<\/p>\n
BANDUNG: West Java's Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle
\n(PDI Perjuangan) faction chairman Rudy Harsa Tanaya said that
\nWest Java Governor Nuriana's accountability report submitted to
\nthe Legislative Council revealed many setbacks in West Java
\nduring 2001.<\/p>\n
Citing an increase in unemployment and the weakening
\npurchasing power of the people in West Java, Rudi said that his
\nfaction had set up a special team to study the report's contents.<\/p>\n
\"We're not going to just sit there and do nothing because
\nthere are a lot of setbacks amid reports of insignificant
\nprogress; The governor has launched various programs such as
\nalleviating poverty and assisting small and middle scale
\nbusinessmen, hasn't he?\"<\/p>\n
Rudi said the council had earlier approved additional money
\nfor the province's development but the governor, however,
\nreasoned that he was not able to achieve targets due to a lack of
\nfunds.<\/p>\n
Yomanius Untung, the Golkar Party's spokesman in the province,
\nsaid that Nuriana, also from Golkar Party, should be objectively
