        "content": "<p>Makassar (ANTARA) - The Makassar Disaster Management Agency (BPBD)\nrecorded that the number of displaced people continues to increase due\nto heavy rain in the city of Makassar.<\/p>\n<p>Based on the latest data from the Makassar BPBD Rapid Response Team,\nthe number of displaced people in Makassar has increased to 878 people\nfrom 239 families spread across 15 evacuation points.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe evacuation points are spread across several places such as\nmosques, schools, and community health centers,\u201d said the Head of the\nMakassar City BPBD, Fadli Tahir in Makassar, Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Since the extreme weather occurred, the Makassar BPBD has deployed\nall of its rapid response team personnel to affected areas to ensure the\nsafety of residents.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe also continue to monitor water levels through the EWS and AWLR\nsystems,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>The BPBD is also coordinating with sub-district, village, and related\nagencies to ensure that the response is carried out quickly and\nappropriately.
